Congratulations to the Mahoning Chapter, NSDAR, from Youngstown, Ohio for being selected the October Website of the Month.
Wow, it’s another chapter from Ohio selected for the October site. The judges studied 21 sites that were completed in October, so you can imagine the competition and the work involved before the websites were recommended to us.
I think about the many hours that went into each website. Thank you to all of our chapters who are creating and maintaining these websites which promote themselves along with the National Society. As women are searching the web to learn more about DAR, they are visiting your websites and learning what you do. We appreciate the ways you are promoting membership in our society. Who wouldn’t want to join the greatest women’s service organization! Can you imagine how many women are going to begin their search as we get closer to 2026!

- Really excellent website! Clean, big font, great layout, lots of pertinent information sprinkled throughout.
- Can really get a sense of what you do.
- Beautiful website! Like the rolling banner.
- “Our Projects Page” is great!
- Great pictures of your chapter in action. Keep adding.
- Love all the details and photos showing the many things the chapter does.
- The Veterans Golf Classic is definitely going to catch some eyes and encourage the public to support you.
- Great use of graphics; however, as each page loads, there’s too much white space at the top and the graphic is only partially displayed as a result.
- Wish your Constitution Week/Bells Across America photo were clearer.
- Lovely site, but we always love to see more pictures of chapter members in action.
- The Road of Remembrance section could use some editing, but what a beautiful project that you have continued to honor.
- Your chapter members have other fun ways to work together through your book club and your scarves for Operation Gratitude. We love that your members are able to use their talents to support the work that you do.
