We are pleased to congratulate the St. James Chapter, NSDAR, of the City of Westminster, United Kingdom for being selected the December 2024 Website of the Month! We’re excited for you, and if some of our Daughters here in the states visit your website, they might consider becoming Associate Members.
This month we evaluated seven websites, and since chapters are trying to complete their CMRs this month, we wanted to complete our judging earlier than we usually do. We want the St. James Chapter to include the news of their winning website in their CMR.
Several of our judges are completing their own CMRs and writing reports to submit, so once again, I want to thank them for their dedication and willingness to judge websites each month. Since last January, we have evaluated 122 websites. Before the websites can be evaluated by the Public Relations & Media committee, chapter webmasters consult with their State VIS chairs and work with National VIS volunteers to make sure their websites meet the criteria. Think about all the hours spent to create these beautiful websites. I am sure this work will be beneficial in promoting the work of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Once again, I encourage chapters to create either a new website or sprinkle some additional sparkle on their websites. We want to be ready for America 250!
Here are a few comments from our PR and Media judges highlighting what they liked about the site, along with a few suggestions.
- Wonderfully done. Great information about your chapter and NSDAR. It was especially nice to see your explanation of NSDAR, along with photos from D.C. rather than just including a link to the national website.
- Love the highlighting of the charities you work with. Many amazing contributions!
- Elegant and professional site!
- Stunning site! Would love to see more photos of members participating in all of these wonderful charities and community projects. Perhaps break up that page since there are so many projects. It’s a lot of scrolling.
- Overall, excellent website! Lots and lots of great information, and you have organized it well to make it all accessible and in a way that makes sense to a viewer.
- As they say in the U.K., “Well done!”
- Exemplary use of graphics, and the story-telling is engaging and comprehensive. Spelling and punctuation — spot on!
- Impressed by the section encouraging Associate Membership!
- I could just stay on this incredibly charming website all day! BRAVO! Beautifully executed and chockfull of information about your chapter. Great picture gallery! My only critique would be to make the menu across the top a little easier to read -- the items seem to be too close together -- a little hard to read. EXCELLENT OVERALL! I may just have to become an associate!
