Please join me and the Executive Officers in celebrating the history and contributions of Native Americans this Indigenous Peoples Day. Did you know that NSDAR provides educational grants for Native Americans and facilitates two scholarship programs for students who are members of federally recognized tribes? Please log in to the DAR Members' Website to learn more about the American Indians Committee, which is led by National Chair @Beth Garner.

During National Native American Heritage Month, November 2023, we celebrate Tribal Nations who continue exercising their inherent sovereignty as vital members of overlapping governments in the United States. Their diverse and rich cultures, knowledge, traditions, and ways of life have survived and thrived due to their courage and resilience. We can help promote the dignity, safety, and prosperity for all American Indians.

With a commitment to our country’s founding ideals, we can address the wrongs of our past while ensuring liberty, justice, dignity, and equality for all. The Department of the Interior’s Road to Healing initiative is partnering with Native American families and their communities to preserve Native language, support Indian health services, increase public safety, and empower future leadership. Many thanks to Daughters of the American Revolution who cultivate hope with a positive stream of thoughts, words, and actions!
