New Social Media Opportunity: Go for the Gold!

Although the 2026 Winter Olympic torch was extinguished during yesterday’s closing ceremony, we are just getting started! We are delighted to announce a brand new opportunity for chapter social media admins to Go for the Gold”!

➡️ Starting today, the Social Media Tune up project is LIVE!

Social Media Tune up testing was completed on February 19 and is now available to any chapter managing social media accounts approved prior to 2024. This voluntary process is initiated by chapter admins through a Tune up Request form.

The form requests contact information, along with answers to questions associated with the new Social Media Approval Checklist. When we receive your form submission, we will notify your State VIS Chair and begin the review. Once the review is complete, your chapter will be awarded the new gold-edged 2026 Reviewed Social Site badge and will be added to the Approved and Reviewed Social Media list.

Project Test Results

Eighteen social media accounts completed the process during project testing and they have been pleased with the ease of using the form and completing the simple review process. On our side, we are excited to have new opportunities to work with admins who have been managing social content for years. You are the heavy lifters. We are here to support you in your efforts.❤️

Refreshing your account with a current badge demonstrates to your page viewers your ongoing association with NSDAR. It also illustrates that your work continues to align with NSDAR Online Policies and provides an opportunity for us to work together to:

Enhance the public image of DAR by improving the quality, brand consistency, and strategic management of our state and chapter social media accounts.

Let Our Games Begin!

Consider this announcement the opening ceremony for a new opportunity for your chapter to pursue Social Media Gold! When it comes to helping you share your chapter’s stories, we’re aiming for nothing less! 🥇

Kim, We dont require chapter board approval, but your regent will know if your chapter does.

Because these accounts were approved in the past, they are already on record with chapters and states. We notify chapter regents and state VIS chairs whenever we receive a Tune up Request, but we don't require any action from them to proceed. 😊

Thank you for sharing this helpful guidance on the new Facebook tune-up process. St. Andrew Bay chapter looks forward to participating and will begin the process soon. We appreciate the support in helping chapters strengthen their online presence.

As VIS chairman and Vice Regent, does this require chapter board approval?

I have spoken with our Madam Regent, who is on board with this. Please advise.  Thank you! 💗
