The Public Relations and Media Committee is pleased to recognize the outstanding work of chapters and state societies in seven categories: Newsletter, Brochure, Print Coverage, Broadcast Coverage, Electronic Media, Social Media Presence, and Publicity for Commemorative/Community Events. The National Winners in each category are:

  • Newsletter: Perry County Chapter, Pennsylvania. This is a beautiful and engaging chapter newsletter that includes America 250! dedications, chapter events and celebrations, veteran recognitions, awards, wreath laying, member appreciation, trips and fundraisers.
  • Brochure: Polly Cooper Chapter, New York. This chapter’s brochure has a clean, energetic design, makes great use of photos, and conveys a lot of useful information, including multiple ways to contact the chapter on social media, by email, and via their website.
  • Print Coverage: Agua Fria Chapter, Arizona. This chapter has been published nearly 100 times in local newspapers, including Sun City, Sun City West, Peoria, and Surprise, Arizona, reaching over 90,000 homes.
  • Broadcast Coverage: Fergus Falls Chapter and Captain Robert Orr Chapter, Minnesota. These two chapters were interviewed for a documentary broadcast, “Minnesota & The American Story: 250 Years,” which aired on Pioneer PBS after the Ken Burns documentary series on November 20, 2025.
  • Electronic Media: Exeter Chapter, New Hampshire. The Exeter Chapter partnered with Exeter TV to create the “Exeter Powder House,” the first in a planned series of three videos.
  • Social Media Presence: Lake Minnetonka Chapter, Minnesota. This chapter has a robust online presence, regularly posting on Facebook and Instagram to promote historical events, anniversaries, Patriot stories and chapter, state and national activities.
  • Outstanding Publicity, Commemorative/Community Event: Irondequoit Chapter, New York. This chapter participated in the Commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Lafayette Farewell Tour of 1825 held June 7-8, 2025 in Rochester, Mendon, Canandaigua and Geneva, New York to mirror the dates of Lafayette’s visits. Using a list of approximately 200 media contacts to actively promote the Farewell Tour, coverage was achieved via all forms of media—online, newspapers, Facebook, television and radio.

These winners will be awarded national first-place certificates at the 135th Continental Congress.
