Congratulations to this month’s May Website of the Month, the Wiltwyck Chapter, NSDAR, from Kingston, New York!
This month we evaluated 12 websites, and at the conclusion of Continental Congress, a new group of volunteers will work with the next National Public Relations & Media Chair. We have evaluated 409 websites from 2022 - June 2025. Although most of us won't be the evaluators, we wish the next team the same enjoyment we have experienced reading about the work being done by chapters and states promoting the Daughters of the American Revolution. Creating a website is a great contribution to your chapter.
We also are congratulating the Arkansas State Society for adding an Outstanding America 250! page to their website. You can read about it in the next blog.
We think you will enjoy this very unique website created by the Wiltwyck Chapter Daughters.
Here are a few comments, along with a few suggestions to consider.
- Great job! Your site is inviting to prospective members.
- Nice emphasis of Community Programs. I’m sure your outreach is noticed.
- Marvelous chapter house! We like the history. We loved the video about the house.
- This is an attractive site. I like that your font and home page are a little different from others we have seen. Is there a way to make that font a little ‘crisper.’?
- For those with vision issues looking at your site, it might be helpful to enlarge the font in places.
- Your photo gallery is nicely arranged and the captions are informative. Of course, it’s always a plus to add more pictures.
- Liked the look of the Patriots page.
- Good inclusion of the map showing where you are!
Once again, congratulations.
